“lolcatz” can explain my day
Pretty much a day of:

The new semester started and I went to my lectures, as I did last semester.
We made funny noises in Ling 1, I nearly fell asleep in Ling 2 (and would have if it wasn’t for the 3 year olds saying “You stupid cow” in harmony), and Japanese blew my head off.
So nothing new really. I feel like a fresher… so very drained =[
Plus I got 63 on my first essay… is that good or bad?!
And now I must do some French. Apparently. I had no idea of this but apparently I have to do it =/
The only things that are getting me through this are Matt, a few friends and pictures like this:

Hahah!! *giggles uncontrollably*
Drinking far too much…
Leads to:
- Irregular blog postage
- Not remembering much on nights out
- Not remembering much the morning after
- Injuring oneself and, again, not remembering why (although some of it was just aggravated by exercise… woo!)
- Being unsure of where one stands with ones boyf
- Excessive use of the third-person singular pronoun ‘one’
However, it has been an awesome two weeks before lessons start up again tomorrow. A bit like Freshers take-two.
Now I need to get back into the swing of things, find somewhere to live next year, conserve the moneys and start thinking a bit more about jobs over the summer.
Otherwise living will actually be a problem next year =/
“Confuzzlement,” Noun:
“A state that is often attributed to the mind-set of Roo”
It really is… Websters doesn’t lie =P
So in terms of housing for next year, it’s like a rollercoaster of bonage… meaning one minute all seems well, then next minute it feels like I (or we, counting Cinny) are boned, and then maybe not, etc
Put it this way… Phoenix is incredible, but it comes at a price that I will not be able to afford, even if I worked my ass off all summer. Plus Cin doesn’t want to go there, and I am determined to find a place with her!
But, on the other hand, a house in a house in Park Street may be available with people we know living next door, along with en-suite rooms from a comparatively cheaper cost. I just *hope* we can get there in time =/
———-
In other news, I managed to finish my linguistics, and yesterday was my 2 year anniversary of passing my driving test, hence NO MORE PROBATIONARY PERIOD! *woops*
Celebrating in style, we went to Sports Café, had really slow service (unlike them… and no discount. Pah!), went to Que Pasa (in-ferking-credible!) and then to Syndicate to dance along with people I’ve never seen before in my life and laugh at the really minging ones… not for fun, there was a valid reason behind this! I’m not that much of a bitch =P
We’re also getting visited soon by the TV Licensing enforcement officers. Should be interesting, as a certain flatmate got the license for the front room incorrect, so that if they do happen to notice us using it we’ll be in for a fine. And as if he wants us to pay for the fine equally… quoth the Raven, “WTF?!”
And finallyyyyyyyy:

It made me laugh. Please don’t get all hate-y on my ass ^_^
A Mixed Day
So I got woken up at 9:15 by some old Bristolian dude who insisted on painting the ceiling of my bathroom. It didn’t need doing, but he was in there before I could say “Alright my loverrrr.”
Revision started, as it has done for the past three days, and became incredibly boring incredibly quickly. But I stuck at it… at least until I found some guy slagging off a UWE friend, which I put a stop to in a passive-aggressive way =] (http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=7268738636&id=808585536&index=0 )
Shopped with Matt. Taught him how to make his own chips. Went to the gym with the roomies and then ate/revised some more. Got depressed over the amount of money I (don’t) have.
Like I said, a mixed day…
… and Jamie Oliver just got someone to dissect a dead obese dude. That’s put me off of being unhealthy forever *shivers at the thought of all the fat and artery cloggage*
2 more chapters of Ling 2 to do now. Then it shall be French ’til the new semester ^_^

So true… they are nice pictures =]
A Late One
I’m up revising my core linguistics… and I can’t sleep.
I don’t know how many pages of notes I’ve done but I’m well over halfway the book in one day, woop!
After this, it’s Sociolinguistics to do, then my goddam Corpus, and then Grammar revision if I have time =/
Also got my contract through from Phoenix Court for living there next year. I have 14 days to sign it, get it signed, find £250 and then try and convince Cinny to live with us!
Although I feel that one of the following are more likely:
- She lives in a house in Horfield with some other people
- She drops out and goes into Accounting, living with Ben, making babies and baking like mad
- She drops out and makes “Cinny’s Bakery”
Meh, who knoooows. If any of those happen I will miss her like mad. She probably doesn’t know how much she makes me laugh and smile… I feel like the older brother that she never had…
The Weekend in Bullet Points:
- ‘Crunchie’ at random flats is quite fun… until flatmates get emotional
- ‘Pub Golf’ is also fun… until 3 plastics ruin it for everyone
- ‘Dieting’ isn’t as fun but it’s healthy… until you end up getting the munchies after nights out or when you just snack after 11pm =P
And now I’m off to the gym. Before the fire alarm test wakes everyone up.
Short and sweet. Comme moi ^_^
I shall post now
Seeing as in a few hours time I plan to be thoroughly inebriated =D
So let’s see…. I may have found somewhere to live next year (if I can convince Cinny to live with 3 guys…) and I experienced Alex’s driving skills today. With Sam being the demister. And Cinny and I in the back as the children of the car. All good fun =]
But I think this means I will be upsetting my Flingers… not good =[
I just think that learning another language to a good extent will prove more effective in the world of work. I’ve got Year 3 to spend in the Hexagon. Plus spending Year 2 in the UK will allow me to increase my knowledge of Linguistics more effectively.
I hope I’m making a well-informed decision =/
A late one…
Because I’ve been out at the SU bar with the roomies =]
However, I am no-where near as wasted as I was last night… let’s just say that Cinny’s photos and videos of the evening prove to be interesting viewing, especially seeing as everyone looked at them and said, at least once, “I don’t remember doing that” =P
Anyway, aside from my blatant BLATANT alcoholism, I also went to the gym again today and got some French work done! And my Powerball Gyroscopic Glowing Doo-dad arrived today too, so it was all going good…
…and then I found that Phoenix court is gonna cost me more than expected if I live there. Sooooo if I work my ass off over the summer then I might just be able to eat next year.
It’s at times like this I need a lolcat.
So here’s one right now ^_^

Why are the pets I have never *this* cool??!
I just made THE best…
Pasta Bolognese… EVER!
I’m so proud of me. To think that a few months ago I would just whip out the ready meals and now all of my food is made from scratch. Woop! Go healthiness =]
So aside from culinary delights, I’ve also been to the gym (3 in a row, oh baby (as 402ers say)) and I’ve got no work done! Wahey!!
And I don’t know why I’m using so many !’s today either =/
My nails are finally growing too thanks to this crap you put on them to make them taste vile. Downside is that whenever I get a bit of food on my finger it’s now coupled with a bitter aftertaste. Yum…
And nooooow, for tonight…
….wtf am I doing?! Ring of fire? Lizard Lounge? Meeting Matt or staying with flatmates?!?!?!?
*implodes*
So I didn’t post yesterday becaaaaaaaaaause…
I was busy. With Matt. ‘Nuff said =P
———-
My first 2 full days at Uni have been good. Getting back into the swing of things (which is a euphemism for sleeping in late and not doing much…) and I’ve been to the gym on both days!
I have acquired a new found love for cross-trainers. And I bought a Powerball that should help too, if it arrives on Thursday!
Also, it may just be the season or the whole 2008 thing (which reminds me… Wellbeing tips for this week, where are they?!) but everyone’s getting all parental on each other’s asses. I mean, talk of kids and marriage and shiz… as Matt said yesterday, “And I thought us gays were bad enough.”
Everyone.
PLEASE.
Slow down.
You’re young. You’ve got lots of other stuff ahead of you before moving onto big things like this. Because frankly it won’t work between people. Between friends. Between families. And you will screw your life up.
Trust me, I’m a linguist =P
Ok, rant over =]
